Fountain Park Fountain Hills, AZ Sunday is walk around the Fountain Park day for many Fountain Hills Residents. Some walk others might rollerblade or bike it. Today the weather is perfect for it. It's the middle of June and we had an unusually cool day.     A low of 65 degrees and a high of just 91 degrees. I wanted to take a video of what it's like to walk around the Fountain Park but that would have taken way to long. Living with Javelina,   Javalina, Myths and My Experiences.   Javelina are common visitors to the residents of Fountain Hills and Rio Verde.   I've hunted Javelina in the Archery season for 25 years when I was younger. I now prefer to just enjoy them rather than eat them. The Javelina are far from endangered and infact expanding in numbers and territory. I've seen Javelina as far north as Payson, AZ and have heard stories of sightings even further to the North. Generally it's thought of a desert creature. Javelina are curious by nature. They have very poor eyesight but a great ability to hear and smell. When intimidated their hair stands up, they emit a skunk type smell from the gland on the top of the butt. Only 319 single family houses in the Fountain Hills Real Estate Market! That’s almost half of what it was two years ago. 19% of what is available for sale is distressed property. That too is a decrease, down from 22% we’ve... had for months. The heaviest concentration of distressed properties (short sales and foreclosures) are between the $200,000 and $300,000 range. What a difference a year can make. According to the Cromford Report real estate statistics for Fountain Hills from March 2009 thru March 2010, the inventory has been reduced, the sales price per square foot has remained level and the foreclosure notices have increased.
