The buzzards are coming back! Yes, the buzzards! Boyce Thompson Arboretum located just to the East of Gold Canyon Arizona is having a special day on Saturday March 20th to celebrate the buzzards! This year is the 18th annual observance of the buzzards.The birds usually return  to the Gold Canyon Arizona area around early March. Spring and Summer months are spent at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. By late September the huge birds began to depart, heading south to spend the Winter months in Mexico. Boyce Thompson Arboretum opens at 7 a.m. on "Buzzard Day" -- one hour earlier than usual for this month so early-bird visitors come and enjoy the early AM with the birds. When showing foreclosed homes we often run into situations where the home has been stripped of many basic items, such as appliances, fixtures, lights, fans, toilets, sinks, even air conditioners. Many times it is speculated by the neighbors that the owners were the ones who took the items from the homes. When this sort of vandalism occurs it negatively affects property values for that home and the entire neighborhood. We spied a post on a Phoenix Arizona area blog this week where some guy was caught in the midst of stripping his home. His neighbors reported it and he was caught in the act. We've posted the most recent price per square foot sales stats for various communities in and around the Phoenix Arizona marketplace for sales that occurred in January 2010 on our Benjamin.com blog.
