2000 Homes Could Be Coming South Of Maricopa A vacant farmland south of Maricopa could be hosting the next major master planned community of 2000 homes. Located at the northwest corner of Louis Johnson Blvd. and John Wayne Parkway, the 1,000-acre parcel could be the site of the Midway development project by W Holdings. The Tempe-based land management and land development company currently manages about 40,000 acres and 35,000 potential home sites around the state. Designated as Moderate Low Density Residential under the current underlying Comprehensive Plan Land Use, the proposed community site can have between one to 3.5 homes per acre.
