Hot Diggity Dog!   When I first began my ActiveRain journey I didn't know what to expect. I had heard that it was good for posting stuff about your listings. So a year or so ago I joined. It was ok, I read a few articles here and there but like many I drifted away.    Then a few months ago I laughed that my points had been creeping up on the website due to the articles articles I read here and there that dropped in to my mailbox. Interesting, I was around 30,000 points. I also realized, I never really left. I kept coming back. (hence why the points kept creeping up). I realized at that moment that ActiveRain was more than for posting about my community and listings. Why Maricopa? Look At This Sky! Beautiful Day in Maricopa...Out in Cobblestone Farms   One of the things that I just love about living in Maricopa and in Arizona is the blue sky we have most of the year. Today was especially awesome as it was a cool 79 degrees with a breeze. I was at a listing appointment out in Cobblestone Farms and just stood in the street, head back taking in the weather, the sky and the breeze. I thought I'd share with everyone.    Oh, the other day. Your Furry Neighbor's Don't Want You to Sell You Home     The other day I went to "show" a home that looked great in MLS. Beautiful home. The pictures looked great, the price and wording showed this was a great value. It had been on the market for quite sometime and I started wondering why something so nice was taking so long to sell.    Well we all know that it usually is a sign of something. Smoke smell? Possibly. Animal smells? Possibly. Pictures taken 4 years ago and now tenants destroyed it? Possibly. Could be a lot of reasons. So we pull up, and I didn't even need to open the lockbox to find out.    Woof, Woof, arf arf... The guard dogs of next door were on patrol. It rarely is a medium to big dog. The National Association of Realtors releases existing home sales data near the end of each month. The data is derived from a sampling of MLS data across the nation. The release shows the current sales rate for existing single-family, coops, and condos. A national figure and 4 regional figures are provided. The NAR Chief Economist indicated in February the current methodology used to calculate the benchmarks will be revised in the near future. There is no timetable for the revision.
