I took this photo last week when I went on a beautiful hike with some relatives that came up to visit after Christmas. We did a little sight seeing over the weekend. It was a little chilly out but it was a sunny day. From this view up above, it made me feel like I was on top of the world! This part of the Rim Country is Beautiful. To get under the Bridge it is about a 300-400 ft. Hike. The view from down there is quite Magnificent too. It was really crowded under there that day so we didn't go all the way down this time. The Tonto Natural Bridge is believed to be the Largest Natural Travertine Bridge in the World! Definitely something to come see if you get the chance. The Natural Bridge stands over a 400 ft. long tunnel that measures about 150 Feet. and reaches about a  height  of 183 ... 01/10/2014

JEWELWEED: A mixture from the crushed leaves of jewelweed can be used on poison ivy rash; this poultice also works for cuts, burns, bug-bites, or even sprains, warts and ringworm. Juice from the stems also can be applied to poison ivy rash or Poison Sumac. I wish I knew about this years ago when I got Poison Sumac which was incredibly painful. My Grandmother used to make these all the time, especially for Christmas Eve. You will Need:   2 cups sugar 4 tablespoons cocoa 1 stick butter 1/2 cup milk 1 cup peanut butter 1 tablespoon vanilla 3 cups oatmeal Waxed paper   In a thick saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add to it the Peanut Butter, vanilla and Oatmeal. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, until cooled and hardened. This is a quick, easy, delicious treat. Try it, you'll like it! You can put these cookies in a decorative container for Christmas Gifts, or serve at your Christmas Party. No messing around for last second Hor d' Oeuvres at your next Holiday Party. This is one of my favorites!  You will need: ·          25 thin slices baguette, 3 Tablespoons of Oil, 1 Fennel Bulb Finely sliced, 2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Parsely,1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice, And the Main Ingredient: 1/2 Pound Finely Sliced Prosciutto.   1.     Heat oven to 375º F. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with 2 tablespoons of the oil. Toast until golden, 10 Minutes.   2.     Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the fennel, parsley, lemon juice, oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 Teaspoon Black Pepper.   3.     Divide the prosciutto evenly among the toasted baguette slices and top with a little bit of slaw!
