My Recent Cancer Diagnosis and What Others Can Learn From It I struggled regarding whether to write this blog or not.  Ultimately, though, I concluded that someone else in the 'blogosphere' might benefit from it. Although I have never been one to run to the doctor, I do have an annual physical at the end of each year.  Part of that is a comprehensive blood test and one of the screening tests provides me with a PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) score. Prostate-Specific Antigen is a protein that is produced by the prostate gland.  The higher the score, the more likely it is that there is a problem with the prostate (including the possibility of prostate cancer).  For those who would like more information about the test, please visit the National Cancer Institute website HERE.
