The Market Report for Queen Creek Arizona December 2012 reveals a number of interesting statistics regarding the local real estate market. The Queen Creek area includes neighborhoods such as Montelena, Morning Sun Farms and The Villages at Queen Creek. The local market insight tells us that the number of new listings in December 2012 dropped by 33.3% from November 2012, from 129 new listings down to only 86. The number of new contracts, fell 31.9% to 77, down from 113 in November. The number of closed sales rose just slightly 0.9% from November, from 116 closings to 117 closings in December. The median sold price dropped slightly and was down to $163,000 in December, down 3.8% from November 2012 but up 19.0% from December of 2011. 2012 Queen Creek AZ's Comeback Year as described by Queen Creek's Mayor Gail Barney, who recently delivered the State of the Town address. He spoke about Queen Creek being a community that is seeing "growth and excitement for the future." He went on to say that 2012 began with a "challenging economic climate," but that Queen Creek experienced a lot of growth. During 2012 Queen Creek AZ's Comeback Year, the community was able to complete several major projects including the channelization of an existing storm wash area between Chandler Heights Road down to Riggs Road and the east branch from Hawes Road to Ellsworth Road along Riggs Road. In Memoriam -- Grandpa Tony -- May 1924 to January 2013 This past week was a difficult one for my family -- my wife's Dad, Tony Indomenico, passed away at the age of 88.  Tony suffered a severe stroke earlier this month.  When it became apparent that the doctors could no longer help him, he was transferred to a hospice in Gilbert Arizona. His family and the Hospice staff provided loving care for several days, before he passed away.  That period, along with all of the arrangements afterward, were complicated by the fact that I recently tore a muscle in my right shoulder -- causing me a great deal of physical pain.  I want to take a moment to thank our many friends and neighbors, who provided such incredible support during this difficult time.  A special thank you to Wanda and John Kasel,... 01/22/2013

The Queen Creek Arizona Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley moved to their new location at Founders Park at 22407 South Ellsworth Road in Queen Creek Arizona on January 7, 2013. According to Kevin McCoy, the Queen Creek Branch Director, the new location will allow the Queen Creek Arizona Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley to continue to grow and increase programs and services within the Queen Creek community. Kevin says, "The new facility is a larger facility, and will allow us to serve more kids and teens which is exciting for our staff and our Queen Creek Branch Board.
