An agent who was holding an open house on Easter Sunday in Scottsdale, AZ was robbed. A female came into the open house and asked for a tour while they were outside a Male came in and stole credit cards, cash and a few personal items out of the Realtor's purse (which was hidden in a cabinet in the kitchen). The Realtor was able to get a good look at the Male and the car and has given all of the information to the police. The 2 of them are thought to have done this before. Yesterday, a client asked if this was the time to buy a new home in north Scottsdale, AZ.  She wanted to know what values are doing by neighborhood and I decided this information would be of use to many.  I targeted the Scottsdale Rd to Pima corridor going from Thompson Peak Pkwy north and found some promising information: Per the Maricopa county website and MLS statistics, the area has averaged a 6.9% increase in values in the last 12 months!!!!!  Certain subdivisions and areas faired better than others with the biggest increase in values - 19.8% occurring between Dynamite and Lone Mountain - that was a HUGE increase.  Other communities which are doing well: Bellasera with 5.9% increase in values Grayhawk with 6.9% increase. Phoenix Business Journal - by Jan Buchholz ESI Ventures, a privately held real estate investment and development company, has purchased a Scottsdale office located directly east of Scottsdale Healthcare. ESI's entity, Black Canyon Place LLC, purchased Mercado Del Rancho, a 71,200-square-foot property at 10301 N. 92nd St. The price was $4 million according to records provided by Mesa-based research firm Ion Data. The seller was 10201 North 92nd Street Holdings LLC, an entity formed by CWCapital Asset Management of Washington, D.C. The property had been purchased in September 2004 by 92 Mercado LLC for $8.25 million, according to documents filed at the Maricopa County Recorder's office. Hello! We blogged back around the 1st of the year that we had gained some storage space in an adjacent suite in our building - contingent on another tenant moving.  That fell through, but our landlord allowed us to use another suite until it was leased.....which only took about 3 months to do. However - we just picked up a vacant suite in our building that can exclusively be a storage unit, permenantly!  This is AWESOME news as prior to, when we recieved large deliveries we were forced to accept them into our suite, which is only about 700sf.  Due to the frequency of deliveries, we were only showcasing 1 desk, 1 dining set, and 1 bedroom set, and the balance of the suite was storage.  With the new space secured, we are going to work graphing out how we can optimize the space and select ...
