 On turning 65! Yes, it is the big day. Today I turn 65 years of age. How can that be my mind says, it was only yesterday that you graduated from College? It is amazing how fast the years have flown by. I still don’t feel my age, but perhaps none of us do. I feel like I can still dance the night away, work from dawn to dusk, and do everything I ever did, in my mind that is. My knees, hips, shoulders, and other body parts tell me differently. A saying crosses my mind whenever I think about doing something I know I shouldn’t; “Try it fatty and die!” The one really good thing about this age thing, at least now I have decent health insurance thanks to qualifying for Medicare. The Return of the “Hidden Listing” Whenever the market heats up and the inventory of available homes for sale drops, the practice of “hiding “a listing re-appears in the marketplace. The first time that listing shows up in the MLS is when it is already pending or perhaps even sold. The agent who has it listed wants credit for the sale after it is sold, but they keep the listing in office so no outside agent or buyer has an opportunity to see it or make an offer on it. This creates frustration in buyers because the first time they spot a listing it is already sold. Showing Feedback or Not!  When I am working with a seller and they request feedback from a buyer showing, more often than not they get upset with what they hear. I had two sellers get very upset with me recently because I provided honest feedback and they didn’t like what they heard. They were offended that the buyer’s comments didn’t please them. They argued with me about the feedback and told me they thought the buyers were crazy. They didn’t have any issues with the issues the buyer’s mentioned so the feedback wasn’t valid. Ultimately they chose to go in another direction because they didn’t like what prospects had to say about their properties. After this happened I had a conversation with an associate in my office and we both agreed that from now on if a seller insists on feedback ...

 Computer Woes, AGAIN! We have all been there. You get up one morning and log on to your computer only to find it isn’t working. My latest event happened yesterday morning. Oh joy, none of the icons on my desktop were working. I would click on them and the program would start to open and immediately shut down. I could get in via my web browser but even then things were moving very slowly. I got on the phone to my techy guy to find out what was happening. He got in to my system and of course determined it had a virus that was causing the malfunction. (Side note here, I have a high end virus program plus a malware monitor on my system that I am diligent about running.
