Celebrating the Earth Day Achieving a green world lies in the hands of the nurturers. How do we care for our mother earth? What can we do to contribute? A celebration such as the Earth day is a good way to remind us of our natural responsibility to take part in energy conservation or taking on green jobs, among other activities. Everything begins from doing our own personal commitment to lead a green lifestyle. Spreading the word to celebrate the Earth Day or setting an example in school, at work and at home could create an impact. We do not have to take huge steps. Simple things count, such as recycling, or buy reusable containers and bags. You could grow some plants, take a walk, ride a bicycle, or do carpooling. There are so many things that could be done. It could start from how we ...

How Much is the Property Worth? Before a person can do any business of either buying or selling a home, one should be able to assess how much it will likely sell in the market. Usually, the buyer should be concerned about how much a seller is willing to accept the price that is being offered on the purchase of the property, considering all other factors. A consumer seeking the help of a real estate agent is often given a market evaluation to review. The CMA or what we call the Comparative Market Analysis is about looking at the properties that are currently on the market or have been sold in the last few months (usually three to six months on average) or depending on the market area. Both the buyer and the seller need to understand this aspect, in order to have a better idea how much a ...

How Canadians Are Responding to Changes on Mortgage Rates We've been hearing the news lately about the interest rates increase and somehow, we can't help but wonder how it will affect us. Some consumers have started locking in their mortgage while others are in the wait-and-see mode. An article in the Financial Post published on April 20, 2010 reveals that Canadians are taking the news on the mortgage rates increase in a not-so-alarming position. After all, we've been there at some point and the recession has given us so much time to understand, plan and prepare for our needs. Putting our priorities in place would obviously make a difference. Consumers should look at their financial position, individually and as part of the household, whether they are comfortable with their spending or ...

Turned down or not approved for the amount you need?    While most people know that they have a "credit rating," not all know their scores or how these scores are  calculated. If your mortgage application is refused or approved for less than expected, there's an opportunity for me to help people understand the causes and how to best improve the score.  Credit scores range from 350 (low) to 850 (high), with 750 being the median. The numerical score is calculated on your previous payment history, your current indebtedness, your credit history length, number and frequency of new credit inquiries and, the types of credit you have. Two so-called "Beacon killers," are payments more than 30 days late (even small amounts) and maxed-out and over limit credit cards. Your detailed history also fac...

The above price chart for detached homes at $910,000 range shows a huge price gap between current average house value and home pricing trend line around $540,000. Richmond, British Columbia - Real Estate Rainmaker Speaking As a follow up to a post I've written some while ago on being a rainmaker, a good article I've come across in the community can be found in the link that follows. http://activerain.com/blogsview/1142301/the-activerain-rainmaker-getting-results- I know some of us might still be curious about what exactly this network of rainmakers exactly offers to us all members? Eversince I've joined Activerain, I've always had this high regard for the network. Internet Technology for Home Selling and Buying Some time ago, people in the industry such as real estate agents, homebuyers and home sellers had to go through a very exhausting experience of getting raw leads, finding prospects and showing properties. You have to physically do all the work. Of course, that was the only route available at the time. When the internet technology has emerged and definitely has evolved, some people found a better approach to doing trading business on real estate, whether as a buyer or seller. Even the MLS or Multiple Listing Service site has been utilized by thousands of Realtors listing propertiesand those agents representing the buyers, co-operating with other agents to find the right property fortheir client. Who could not appreciate the fact that the bu...

Some people might think that real estate agents just simply earn substantial commissions. No more. No less. Or some might have the thought that what a real estate agent does is something just like what other sales people do anyway. Some might even think that agents do work such little effort to equate such huge fees or commission income. What do Real Estate Professionals actually have or had to do behind the showing and listing of houses on behalf of clients? What some people may not realize is that real estate agents like business owners or entrepreneursdo run their business with significant funds to back their operations and marketing activities. It's not just something that you hang your licence in your office and voila, you are sure you are on your way up. Other people must understa...

A Signal to Better Stability To The Housing Market?Richmond, British Columbia, Canada  -In a news release posted by the The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) on May 4, 2009, the housing market has come to a more even balanced state. This indicates that there are more buyers who show participation in the market while we see lesser number of home sellers. The increase in demand by the buyers is beginning to be more apparent. And if this activity continues and there are only few participating sellers around, this could help Greater Vancouver home prices become more stable.  (This post has been archived.)  ----For more updated info and other personal finance topics, Personal Finance News, Resources and Tips...Visit: SavingsMix.com
