It's  raining, it's hailing, it's snowing in the high desert!  Not big news to most of you in the county, but it's always a thrill when you live in the desert.  My facebook feed is blowing up with postings of the local weather.Since we don't get a ton of rain there are a few great reasons to look for houses when it's raining.One is you can see if that stain is from an active leak or if it's old and just not painted over.  Also it's great to know which way the water flows across the property.El Nino is coming.  We live in a flash flood area.  Don't drive across flooded streets. I love FRENCH FRIES!!!!!!!!!!!  Just staying so I only go to Red Robin on special occasions because they have unlimited fries and I've been known to order more than I should.  But this is a super great reason to eat fries........So let's make this a great fund raiser.  Wow! When i'm not selling real estate one of my favortie things to do is to gather up my fur family and head to the dog park at the Civic Center in the Town of Apple Valley.    There are 2 sides to the park. We hang out on the small dog side. There is a large dog side too.  Both sides have a drinking fountain and doodle dags. Thee is some shade and benches to hang out and watch the fun.   From Hwy 18 you will turn north on Dale Evans nd turn right where the old library is as if you where going to the park.  There is lots of parking and bathrooms nearby at the park.  I hope your fur friends and family will enjoy the park as much as we do.   10/06/2015

Tonight I received an email from zillow about my newest listing. I called the contact info and am still laughing! Here is how the conversation went. It’s the first day that feels like fall in the High Desert.  It’s a perfect day to talk about the HOT summer season and how hot the summer was for Desert Knolls real estate. Over the summer 96 houses sold in Desert Knolls, it’s an executive area in Apple Valley, close to the freeway, the hospital, retail, restaurants and movies.   The average house sold was 2400 sq ft., was $107.40 a sq ft, on the market for 42 days and sold for 100.96% of asking price. Talk about a HOT deal. The least expensive sale was listed for $35K, sold for $70k. It had a few issues. The most obvious being it was burned out.  The largest sale reported to VVAR.com.    The house that hit the top of the list sold for $432K, is 3583 sq ft. built in 2001, it is behind a gate.
