I have recently been asked to handle an increasing number of BPOs (as I am sure most of you have) for a few different banks that I work for on a regular basis, and this has got me thinking.  I would like to hear from anyone out there doing these on a few things... 1. Where you stand on doing the increasing amount of BPO work out there?  2. What do feel is a fair amount for a Bank pay you for your services of creating a BPO?3. When proposing your property list price at the completion of your BPO, do you put a price that you feel will sell in 48 hours?   2 weeks?  2 Months?  6 Months?  (How aggressive are you on sugg. list price when you know you are not the one who will be listing this particular property?)  I personally enjoy working for the banks that I am affiliated with, and they hav...

Helping abused women and their children. The last two years we were overwhelmed & overjoyed by the generosity of our neighborhood.  Together we were able to refill their empty pantry.  Let's hope this year we can double the response. If any of you are interested in throwing an event like this in your neighborhood.  Contact us at http://www.AaronAndMindyMills.com/ and...

Like many others I've certainly had a great time and learned much from my personal involvement on Active Rain. The people I've met and the friends I've made as a result of AR has truly enriched my life in many ways. At this point the majority of my posts were written as Localism, I've loved showcasing my communities with others. Yesterday I realized I was approaching 100 and I thought I'd like to do what I can to give back to my community in my own small way with a post that could hopefully help our beautiful state and the planet. Keeping California Green and our Oceans Clean ~ It's the California Coastal Clean Up Day, September 15th, 2007.The third Saturday in September has been designated as a special day for volunteers to participate and give back to their communities by cleaning up ...

Summer evenings in the OC are always wonderful to experience. Normally cooling off enough to open the doors and windows in the late afternoon to enjoy the outdoors. Cooking on the bar-b-que almost daily. My community of Brea is a small city in northern Orange County. We've experienced so much growth in Orange County it seems like one city runs into another. Although it's normal for us, it may seem odd to another. When trying to describe Brea's location in Southern California I always ask, "Have you ever been to Disneyland?" Most would answer "yes", even if it were in childhood. I then describe that I live about 25 minutes north of Disneyland, it's an almost instant connection. If you've lived in Orange County for a while, (depending on your location) no doubt you're accustomed to this "s...

Brea ~ CA going green all around the town and it couldn't be easier!  The City of Brea announces a new e-waste program now in operation for Brea residents. In the past the only way to properly dispose of old computers, monitors, T.V.'s, etc. was to pay a visit to the Hazardous Waste Disposal facility at 1071 Blue Gum St. in Anaheim. I should know, I've made plenty of trips to this facility myself. However now Brea residents can save yourself a trip and bucks normally spent for gas $$$ (that's another good thing, isn't it?)  by calling to schedule an appointment for a Tuesday pick up. To do so call Brea Disposal to arrange for  a pick up of your electronic items like a VCR, television, copiers, fax machine, computer monitor for example. Items will be picked up curbside, now how's that fo...

Brea is home to a lot of new construction - an incredible downtown area - and a progressive city with well maintained streets, landscaping, and pride of ownership throughout the city. The media likes to report whatever is sensational at the time.  I would like to negate what is fact and what is fiction with RAW numbers for this city.  First we look at the Active Pending and Sold units for the last 14 months. In looking at a graph like this we have to remember simple economics of supply and demand.  The active properties represent the supply, and the demand is shown as pending and closed sale.  Inventory levels are very similar to last year at this time, and we are still seeing the same buyer demand.  On average the numbers are very stable and indicate a healthy market that is not seeing ...

Brea ~ CA ~ Good Old Brea's City Hall Park is like stepping back in time. A day in the park can be like step back in time,...maybe a time when we lived in simpler times. Brea's City Hall Park is just one of those places. I love this little park. It continues to be a place for family fun and offers a glimpse of yester-year in our community of Brea. The park is located on Brea Blvd. in what at one time was considered the heart of the city. In 1929 it was home to the original Civic Center, Brea's Police Station and the jail. The old Police Station continues to stand today as Brea's Museum and home to Brea's Historical Society.Famous visitors from the past included a future President, Richard M. Nixon who addressed a local audience during a campaign stop in the 1950's. Looking across the par...

By Namneet DhaliwalJuly 23, 2007Houses are staying longer on the market and we are experiencing a decrease in price as compared to last year, if the sales continue to slow like this, we could see this pull back in prices going to 2004 levels. According to local MLS data there were about 173 residential properties for sale in 08/01/2006. As of July 23, 2007, there are 191 active listings in the market, the highest in past few years. There are only 27 properties in the pending status, marking it a very slow time for real estate market.
