My buyer purchased a short sale transcations two months ago. I checked in with the listing agent for status bi-weekly. After two months the listing agent told me that he talked with 10 different workers for last 2 months. We are talking about a file is completed in fast track but just no actiion. They put me through different people for the same file.". The listing agent said: " He called every day 4 times 10 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM."He said:"When they realized they don't want to hear his phone call, may be this file will be on the top of the list."  I don't even recall how many time I called. He always told me I just talked to the bank or asset manager. They should give us an answer 72 hours. It was at least 3 weeks ago, however, no answer. We are not going any where. I have more arti...

With its charming historical downtown, safe streets, strong sense of community, highly regarded schools and relatively modest real estate prices, Campbell has become one of the Santa Clara Valley's most desirable residential communities. Home to 38,000 residents, its part of what's known as the "West Valley," along with its neighbors, Los Gatos and Saratoga. When it comes to location, location, location, Campbell has all three. Campbell sits just a short drive away from Mineta International Airport, Silicon Valley's work places, San Jose's cultural attractions, Santa Cruz mountain wineries and Santa Cruz beaches. It provides easy access to highway 17/880 and connections to highway 85, 101, 280 and 680.Campbell was settled in 1851 by hay farmer Benjamin Campbell, whose original 160 acres...

Last weekend we enjoyed another "Boogie on the Bayou event".  The event is hosted by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.  2008 was the 30th anniversary for the Chamber's Spring Festivals.     The event was well attended by the community.  The weather was perfect, not too hot and warm enough to feel like spring.   If you've never attended this event, don't miss it next year!

Yesterday, Blythe Kern and I visited Planet Beach in El Paso De Saratoga shopping center.  We had a few minutes to kill between appointments.  Planet Beach (spa) is a member of our Campbell Chamber of Commerce.  They have been very gracious to provide gift certificates and products as donations to our many fund-raisers.  I felt it was time to stop by to not only thank them for all their support, but see the facility first hand.Wow, what a great atmosphere. There were two items which intrigued both Blythe and I, The Aqua Massage and Hydro Massage beds.  The beds utilize heat and water pressure to relieve stress, decrease muscle tension and increase flexibility. While you're there....you can get a magic tan (I think they said it lasts about 7 days) and yhey have full menu of products inclu...

Our Campbell Chamber of Commerce members had a fantastic time last night welcoming our latest business into the downtown Campbell area.  The owners are friendly and welcoming.  We were able to taste all the different flavors.  My favorite was the Crème Brulee and my husband's was the Bananas Foster.  They also serve desserts as well.  We've decided this will be a new addition to our Friday night excursions.Menu -                                                          Gelato Classics is located at:191 E Campbell Ave Campbell, CA 95008 (408) 370-9020 http://www.gelatodessertcafe.com

Yesterday we held our monthly Chamber luncheon at Frankie Johnnie, and Luigi's Italian restaurant. The monthly luncheon is a great way to network and become more familiar with what's going on in the area.  We all know that a referred customer is the best customer any business can hope to obtain.  Being around a group of professional ready, willing and able to do this for you is priceless. Ever get the feeling you were suppose to be somewhere and when you got there, you're not sure why???This happened to me last night.  When I logged onto my computer yesterday morning, I saw a Yelp.com email.  It advertised a meeting taking place in my area, Campbell.  The group is called "Ladies Who Launch".  The email advertised an event for ladies only..."What/Why: Ladies Who Launch is the ultimate destination for women launching businesses or creative projects. It is one of the best investments you can make toward reaching your goals! Connect with like-minded ladies, find and develop partnerships, promote your products and services, and get the resources that you need to move your business along. We will have a panel of Lady Launchers give their personal stories, share insights, passi...

I'm proud to live in a community where our Mayor of Campbell, Don Burr gets involved by participating in the Mayors for Meals (Meals on Wheels outreach program) on March 18th & 19th.  He delivered nutritious hot meals to Campbell seniors. According to an article I read in the Campbell Times, there are about 160,000 residents in Santa Clara Count over the age of 65, and persons over the age of 85 are the fastest growing segment of the U.S. Population.  The article also mentions that only 13 percent of the older adults eat the minimum amount of fruit and vegetables needed for good nutrition, and one in five skip meals daily.Good job Mayor Burr!

The Mercury News reported on Friday April 4th , many homeowners here in Santa Clara County will be receiving a notice in the mail that their property tax payments will go down.  The assessed value will go down in some of these neighborhoods due to the mortgage meltdown we've been experiencing around the country.  The article stated that approximately 41,231 homeowners will receive one of these notices. The schools districts will be hit the hardest.  Campbell Union School District had 5,793 homes totaling $389,418,860 decline in assessed value.  The estimated decline in taxes for the Campbell Union School District is $4,673,026 with an average of $807 per property. If you purchased your home between 2005 and 2007 its possible you are paying too much for property taxes and you can have yo...

Two years ago we took the grandkids to Vasona Park in Los Gatos, CA. We are fortunate; this park is only 10 minutes away from where we live. I accepted the task of watching the kids every-other Saturday. It has been wonderful. Had we not made this arrangement (my daughter works a couple Saturday’s a month) we wouldn’t have the opportunity to spend so much time with them. I get to be the fun grandma. We do arts and crafts, cook, and go on what I call “field trips”. I loved going on field trips in school when I was a kid. I make sure they get good old fashion home cooking and I teach them manners which I find lacking in most children these days. This is one of my favorite videos I’ve made. It’s so peaceful. Listening to the ducks hit the water is soothing... It’s so peaceful. Listening to...
