Capitola Begonia Festival - A Classic Capitola Event! The Jewel Box in Capitola, CA-A Great Place for both Children and Adults I moved to the Jewel Box in Capitola, CA when my two kids were in New Brighton Midddle School and Soquel High School. I found this a great place for both my kids and for myself to have allot of fun and to have access to everything. Of course the beach was the main attraction.   The Jewel Box sits on the cliffs above Capitola Village and borders the river that the Shadowbrook Restaurant is on. It's called the Jewel Box because all the streets are named, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Garnet, Jade, Jewel, and Topaz. Capitola CA Interest Rates 2010  Captiola Interest rates are higher in the latest mortgage survey released this week by Freddie Mac as the Feds pull out of the mortgage backed security market the average interest rates for home loans continue to rise.   Although at the start of this week some mortgage analysts thought we may see rates drop back down below five percent later in the week, this has proved to be wrong.  Over the past week we have observed the common interest rate for a thirty-year fixed mortgage jump from 4.875% to 5.25% where it currently stands.
