Home ownership vs Renters Net Worth   KCM blog posted April 9, 2014     What does it all mean? Well, it shows that home ownership is still the way to build wealth in America. Over half of ones net worth is found in its home equity. As home value appreciates so will its homeowner's net worth.   There is no comparison in the net worth of a homeowner vs a renter. Home ownership is still the American dream and the way to accumulate wealth. It has been said that the more an investor increases its portfolio, the faster he or she becomes wealthy.   We are in a time period where it is cheaper to pay a mortgage than to be responsible for a monthly rent. Homeowners who purchased property in 2012 saw a 27%+ increase in their home values...that is an increase in ones net wealth.   If you are lookin...

Recently there was a article on Yahoo that talked about a man who successfully sold his home on his own. As a Realtor I agree that you can sell your home without the help of real estate professional. In fact before I became a real estate agent I sold my home on my own.  Interesting thing about the story as I read on is that it turned out the man was a real estate agent before so he had experience. The comments on the article all agreed with the man and they started to talk bad about the real estate profession. Regardless how you feel about Realtors we serve a purpose to help sellers and buyers get what they want. Like I said before I agree that many homeowner's can sell on their own, but if your not sure about yourself and you want to make sure your doing things right, it is wise to hir...

Corona, California has 391 active home listings for sale as of 2/5/2014!!! Yeah, you read that right!!! Can you believe it?! 391 listings current active for sale properties is amazing. Corona is a big city, and the numbers here will be different than in other cities, but let's compare to other MLS status numbers in the area. For example, let's compare that number to how many properties are pending sale, or in escrow, in Corona: only 185. Of course, that number could be affected by a plethora of factors, like buyers and their buying motivations, or over-pricing by sellers trying to cash in, but it still is a heck of a contrast. Also, if you throw in backup offer status, with the Corona number coming in at 148, then the view of where the Corona market is becomes more focused. The properti...

According to a recent survey, Over Pricing Your Home Is The Biggest Mistake You Can Make. It is very important, in fact it is imperative that you price your home correct the very first time! Why? If you price it to high you limit the buyers in that price range and they won't even look at your home. The objective is to price the home at it's current market value or just below that because you want as many buyers eyes looking at your home. The goal is to find just one buyer who loves your home so much they will do what it takes to buy it and that means offering you more than what you are asking. Maybe even getting multiple offers which begins a bidding frenzy.   Data provided by ActiveRain.com. ActiveRain is an online community of real estate professionals. My recent seller sold his home ...
