Snoopy House Moves to Costa Mesa City Hall   Just a few weeks after Wells Fargo foreclosed on Snoopy House, Snoopy has a new home. The City of Costa Mesa volunteered the use of its front lawn as Snoopy's new home. So, Jim Jordan along with many volunteers was able to move the display from its old location in Eastside Costa Mesa to its new home at Costa Mesa City Hall. The display has all of the old favorites and a new light show on the City Hall building. According to the City, they are hoping to make this an annual event. As usual, Santa will visit the Snoopy House from 7pm to 9pm from December 18-23. Wells Fargo Forecloses on Snoopy What is the World Coming To?   Last month the foreclosure crisis took a famous victim, Snoopy. Apparently, even Snoopy isn't immune to foreclosure which Wells Fargo proved when it foreclosed on Costa Mesa's famous Snoopy House. COSTA MESA, CALIF.—There will be a Charlie Brown Christmas in Costa Mesa after all this year, thanks to a deal struck today by the City and Jim Jordan, whose family for 44 years has put up an elaborate holiday display at their Eastside home using Peanuts cartoon characters.    This would have been the 45th year the "Snoopy House" would have been decorated for Christmas. I grew up around the corner and always knew Christmas was near when the house on Santa Ana Ave. was building set for the Peanuts Christmas display. This year driving by on Thanksgiving weekend, there was something missing. There were not even a sign of any activity that Snoopy was coming to town. Puzzled and confused, I was wondering what was happening. Nutcracker for Children at Segerstrom Concert Hall Costa Mesa Christmas Events The Pacific Symphony has created a 45 minute version of the traditional Nutcracker ballet just for kids. There is also a musical carnival designed to help engender a love of music in the children.
