Beautiful Columbine at the 2006 Garden TourIt's that time of year again!  The Annual Crestline Garden Tour, June 3 is just around the corner! The tour begins at the San Moritz lodge at 10am and ends at the lodge around 3 pm.  There will be refreshments and a plant sale.  Shuttle service is available (yours truly is a driver) or you may take your own vehicle.  Make sure you have a map! The cost is $15 per individual, or $20 per family.  We have some amazing gardens up here in the mountains.  Once spring hits, we are all flowers and leaves and gorgeous gardening!  All proceeds go to beautification of the Crestline area.  Each spring we have thousands of daffodils and tulips bloom, thanks to the proceeds from this event and lots of volunteers planting in the fall.Maple and spruce.Gorgeous ...

OK, so we were on our way to our garage sale, and I had to share these awesome pics that I took.  Quite often, we get clouds that cover over the whole valley of San Bernardino, and it's usually sfog (smog/fog) sfog (try saying it a couple of times, it's funny!) These are some great pics from one of the lookouts that shows that we are an island floating in a sea of clouds. Talk about Crestline being Heaven...You can't see anything down below, except other mountain tops floating along in our sea.  The last pic above is my husband.  It was early we were not quite awake yet. That's a loooooong way down.  A coyote out early to hit all of the garage sales, getting a good deal! This was pretty cool, he was pretty close to our car.Have a great SAFE weekend everyone, across the country.God bless,...

OK so here is the pic for the garage sale, everthing and the kitchen sink!  They just remodeled their home and had leftover stuff.   Letting everyone know that they were getting a good deal for a good cause... The stick in the stump to the right was a flag at half mast...Here's Nanette at our booth at the event. We were on a sloping hill, and it was windy...

This weekend of Memorial, our small town has the tradition of opening the beach for sunbathing, having our Saturday Trout Derby, our Hot Rods and Harleys event and of course what we're famous for....Garage Sale-ing!Our inhabitants clear out the winter clutter that has accumulated since last Memorial weekend and there are garage sales all over the mountain, from Cedar Pines Park to Big Bear.  With literally over 500 homes having garage sales, you flatlanders (a term of endearment, truly no offense) can come up and get some great deals on stuff. We hosted a multi-family garage sale with my in-laws whose home I just pulled into escrow, the buyers of the home,  my mother-in-law, and my bro-in-law who just graduated Navy Boot Camp and is going into BUDS, the Navy Seal training program. (We a...
