I'm a Del Mar Race Track junkie.  Actually, I've been a fan of horseracing since I was a kid, playing at the Garden State Park, in my hometown of Cherry Hill, NJ.  When I moved to Solana Beach, I was attracted to the the beach, San Diego, and best of all, the proximity of the World Famous Del Mar Race Track.  One of my favorite things to do is to take my daughter to breakfast for the morning workouts.  The horses start working out at 5AM and the track opens at 7:30AM.  You can enjoy a delicious breakfast buffett for less than $10.00 (includes coffee and juice).  From the Del Mar Turf Club website: Early risers have a chance to catch morning workouts and breakfast in the Clubhouse Terrace Restaurant every Saturday and Sunday during the season. From 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., trackside announcer ...

The Del mar races gained a reputation as a place to hobnob with the Hollywood set years ago (Bing Crosby, Jimmy Durante, the Rat Pack, among many others) and remain a popular celebrity-sighting venue today. And the Del Mar Races Opening Day is THE event on the summer social scene, with the ever-popular "One and Only Truly Fabulous Hats contest." Del Mar San Diego County Fair Movies 2009 Everybody loves the Del Mar Fair. Officially known as the San Diego County Fair it won't let you down for fun, food, rides, games and entertainment. I went this year and found that the 2009 Fair is just as good as the years before. I stopped by Albertsons Grocery Store and got discounted tickets and then drove to the Del Mar Fair to meet my family and friends. I went on a Friday afternoon was surprised to see that there was no line for parking and a very small line to get into the Fairgrounds. The only reason there was a line was for security to check belongings.I went to one of the stages where we had friends performing and then strait to the rides and games for the kids. Some of the Funzone rides are Carousel, Cliff Hanger, Crazy Mouse, Creep ...

Lots of buyers dream of having a waterfront home by the beach. That's easy to understand, as there is something about the allure of the ocean, the sand and the light at the beach that appeals to so many. Having the financial wherewithal to acquire a home on the ocean is another matter entirely, especially with Southern California waterfront homes being as pricey as they are.   Buyers looking for waterfront homes in the coastal area of North County San Diego have a number of options for oceanfront living, depending on what you want and how much you are willing to spend. There are, of course, a number of considerations when buying beachfront property - the dangers from storms; erosion; wear and tear on the house (inside and out) from wind, sand and moisture; restrictions around what you c...
