This particular neighborhood of Laguna West is one of my favorite communities in Elk Grove. It is situated around a lake, and some homes that are not shorefront have a view. When Elk Grove home sellers get burned once, they are often very cautious before trusting other Elk Grove Realtors again. That's not to say their previous agent did anything horribly wrong because the thing about being an agent, we all learn soon enough in this business, is the agent is responsible for everything that happens, including inclement weather. It is all our fault. It is also all of our joy when things go right.That's just how sellers think. There are days it looks like ads are taking over Google. You used to get solid results when performing a search, and now you are blasted with advertising. Do no evil does not apply to advertising. There are tons of companies trying to skim off Google searches and then sell those leads back to agents. Rightfully so, many real estate agents complain about this practice. While I don't mind a paying a portion of my commission for a referral here and there for business I otherwise might not obtain, my real estate business is not built on paying referral fees. I'd go broke trying to do that. We all would. There's not enough room in the budget to do that over and over. It's almost like the real searches now begin on page 2 of Google.
