I don't know about you but it takes me a while to get used to change. When it comes to the time changes, it seems to last a very long time. I enjoy the longer sunshine in the evening but I'm shocked to learn what time it is. J   How about you? How long does it take you to get adjusted to the time change?

Georgetown, CA 95634 - Camp Virner Restaurant & Lounge Camp Virner Restaurant & Lounge is a family owned and operated little gem of a restaurant in the Georgetown Divide, just 6 miles up Wentworth Springs Road from Main Street at Hwy 193 in Georgetown. They are open for dinner only, Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm to 9pm, and serve American, German and Italian food. BTW, I've heard that if you are coming for their prime rib (which they only serve on Fridays and Saturdays), be sure to get there early before they run out! Last Sunday, Bob and I took a leisurely afternoon motorcycle ride to Placerville and headed up Mosquito Road (yes, over that famous wooden bridge followed by the steep hairpin turns) to Rock Creek Road up Hwy 193 to Georgetown...destination Camp Virner Restaurant! I haven't...

Okay, I admit it.    I cheated!   (And I’d do it again)   The first time, I was a little nervous and was afraid that I may get caught. I snuck around, making sure that nobody would see me. The hiding of the hand written notes, the late night internet searches, and the constant looking over my shoulder while it was happening. I didn’t want anyone to know. After all, what would people think? I’m a general contractor and I should know better. How could I possibly explain that I didn’t know how to do a three way switch? That’s right I am finally admitting it, I can’t continue the lie any longer. I don’t know how to install a three way switch. This may mean nothing to you, but it has been a dark secret for some time now. Whenever I have to install a three way switch, I cheat! I get out my ...

Over the last 15 months inventory is up only 1.4% with sales down 16.7% and pending sales off at-30% over the past.  Our remaining unsold inventory at this pace would take 14.4 months to absorb, the highest since this time last year.  Home prices seem to be almost finding some stability with ranges from $100-165 per square foot and last month's average at $147.  The market is still being driven by 1st time home buyers, though now the Federal tax credit has expired.  Interest rates under 5% are spurring others to consider purchases.  All buyers are looking at value and condition and sellers must still compete with short sales and bank repos.  Realistic pricing is seeing sales times in 85 to 150 days.
