Here are some recent home sales in the Eagle Ridge Golf Community located in Gilroy, CA. Sales have been brisk.  All of the following were traditional sales (non-bank owned or short sales) and they clearly show that demand for this exceptional community is very high.  How do we measure demand?  I use the Days on Market as an indicator.  Here it shows that the average Days on Market is 6.83.  I also am aware that some of these homes had as many as 6 offers!  It is a great place to live. Steel Magnolias is Coming to Gilroy Despite it being a small town, Gilroy does have a very active local theater following with plays constanly being staged by local production companies.  Always fun to attend.   Based on a story located in the southern town of Natchitoches, Louisiana, where women are strong as steel yet delicate as magnolia flowers, this famous play is coming to Gilroy.  The play will run for one month and is a production of the Gilroy Theater Company.  Originally, an off-broadway play, "Steel Magnolias," (made as a movie in 1989) is coming to Limelight Actors Theater on Monterey  and Seventh Streets, opening Sept. 14 and running through Oct. 12.  Evening performances are "Bring Your Own Dinner Theater" where guests are encouraged to bring food and drinks to enjoy toget...

Here's a handy chart that lets one see that since the mortgage meltdown, there has been very little foreclosures in Gilroy, CA. This is a good sign that neighborhoods are stablizing!  Naturally, at the height of the market boom, in 2006, there are still some foreclosures occuring from those notes.

Eagle Ridge is a gated community in Gilroy, CA that has been seeing a lot of homes being sold recently.  Prices are creeping up, as the formerly high inventory of homes due to short sale and foreclosure seem to be disappeaaring.  Now is a good time to buy.  There arte crrently only 5 Active homes on the market (compared to about 40 last year at this time), and homes seem to be selling in the $700,000+ range.
