One of the closest full service restaurants on the west side of Gilroy is Momma Mia's Ristorante.  My wife and I are both fans, and eat there when we have friends come to town to visit.  We've never been disappointed.It's Italian food, and the service is great, and provides for a pleasant dining experience. The Water Warehouse, Gilroy, CA 95020  (508) 848-5010I happened upon a great little store which sells purified drinking water in Gilroy, CA.  They are pretty much a total drinking water specialist, as they also install home reverse osmosis systems and water softeners.They not only sell them, but they also service them, which is really great.  The owner is a licnsed plumber, so the installation is done by him.  After briefly talking with him, he seems to know his stuff, and he has over 35 years of experience in both commercial/industrial and residential installations. Gilroy Vacuum Center of Gilroy This is a great store for you vacuuming needs.  For those who live in Eagle Ridge, some homes came with a built in vacuum system.  It was an option of the Glens Models and Courtyard models by Shapell, but was part of the house package on the Woodlands by Shapell.  The Standard Pacific models, Oakcrest, had this as an option. If you need parts for your vacuum system, and extension for your hose, or perhaps would like another hose (some people have one for upstairs, and one for downstairs) this is the place to go.  They have competitive prices and superior knowledge.  Great people to work with.  Family owned and they have been in business since 1978.   06/19/2012

Dragonfly on Fifth The Daragonfly on Fifth is not a new coffee shop, per se, as it has a new owner who bought it from Sue's Coffee.It appears that it has kept the same clientele.  It now serves breakfast, and it appears that they are going to be expanding their entertainment offerings as well.  This is a true landmark place for downtown locals, and there is always what appears to be a steady stream of customers who stop by for their coffee fix. Gilroy Real Estate Report dated June 18, 2012 This market update is for single family homes in Gilroy as of June 18, 2012.   As of today 22% of properties listed for sale are distressed.  That number is down again for a fourth month in a row. Last month 25% of inventory consisted of distressed properties. According to report from CoreLogic shadow inventory is down too. Real Estate investors too find that there are far fewer REO bargains available.
