Provide by Jason Kardos, San Diego, CA Real Estae Agent By AMY HOAK A federal tax credit of up to $8,000 is nudging many Americans into buying a home for the first time -- good news for those trying to sell one. Still, selling a home isn't easy in most markets today. That has great appeal for someone buying a home for the first time, for practical and financial reasons. "First-time buyers are skeptical of buying homes tha...

About a year ago some neighbors moved in down the street from us, a couple with a three-legged dog. I often see them walking the dog around the neighborhood but had never had the opportunity to talk with them until today when she was out walking. I grabbed my camera and ran out to ask her if I could take a picture of her dog because I though he -- turns out he is a she -- was so beautiful, even with the missing leg.   Her name is Abby, and she was rescued from an animal shelter in Florida. Abby had been left in a cage in a house and was starved and emasciated when she was found. She had caught her right front leg in the cage trying to get out and had mangled it so badly that it had to be amputated in order for Abby to live. Abby must be the friendliest dog I've ever met, taking to me i...
