Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach Victoria Beach is located down from Victoria Street off Coast Highway in South Laguna Beach. It is a beautiful beach and private location which and a great place to explore, swim, and skim board. It is very close to the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. Victoria Beach does have public access off Victoria, and it is a fairly easy walk down the stairs, definitely not as steep as 1000 Steps Beach in Laguna Beach. Victoria Beach does have a very nice sandy beach, and there is an on shore break, and rip tides do come up occasionally. It can be treacherous if there is larger surf or high tide. A house has been re-listed in Laguna Beach's Emerald Bay at $35 million it is lowered from its previous listing price of $44.5 million. 1000 Steps Beach, Laguna Beach  1000 Steps Beach in Laguna Beach is an absolutely beautiful beach that does have public access. There are approximately 230 steps to the sand, not 1000 but it is still a workout. There are bushes and plants which have grown over the stairs. The beach itself is amazing with caves and  beautiful rock formations.  1000 Steps Beach is located at 9th and Coast Highway in South Laguna Beach is a worthwhile visit. There was no lifeguard on duty when we were there yesterday, and the ocean conditions were rough with large waves, and a strong under tow. However, the temperature was warm. Commenting on the OC Register article dated Sunday August 16, 2009, “Luxury Homes Fall into Slump”   I agree with the writer’s point that the lower end of the market is hot now and the upper end homes in Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, and Dana Point are stagnant.  However there is a limited number of oceanfront, ocean view, and coastal homes.    There is currently too much inventory of homes for sale along Orange County’s premier Riviera coast.  If sellers of luxury estates can wait, they should take their homes off the market until next year when activity picks up as it seasonally will in early spring.  But, if one does need to sell now, then price and marketing are of utmost importance.  Buyers need to know the house is available and that it is a good buy for them today.... 08/17/2009
