Protect Our Forest In Lake Arrowhead, California

The Arrowhead Lake Association is asking residents and guests to refrain from bringing in firewood from other areas. Lake Arrowhead is declaring a " Buy It Where You Burn It " to reduce and/or eliminate pests that are destroying our forest. There are two new pests that are spreading and the transportation of firewood from infested areas are bringing these pests into our beautiful forest. The first pest is a voracious beetle named Gold-Spotted Soak Borer and this beetle has already begun killing oak trees in San Diego County. They have also been found in the North Riverside County community of Idyllwild.
