Lake Arrowhead Village wants you to celebrate Easter with them ! It's a Southern California family tradition and the annual Easter egg hunt is loads of fun ! You're also invited to take selfies with the Easter Bunny ! So, plan on hopping over with the family and share in the tradition of Lake Arrowheads Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Starting at 12:30pm on April 20th, on the grass near Center Stage the egg hunt will begin. LAKE ARROWHEAD THROW BACK  Here, we are taking a look back at how SR-189 through Blue Jay has changed over the years from 1955 to today, 2019. The Jensen's shown in the photo was the first location of the company, opening in 1940. The 76 is a historical landmark. Some places like the Public Ice Rink did not close until 2001 when a snowstorm collapsed its roof and the cost to repair was greater than the insurance would cover. In like a lion, out like a lamb is how the saying goes, I think. If this is correct, we should be having a very calm ending to March.  But right now, it's in the lion state of mind, still.  We've had the wettest winter in years; snow and rain.  We asked and we received.   That said, we are all saying "ok, I give up, I'm ready for spring.  Please BRING IT! Lake Arrowhead is FULL. Thank you Mother Nature.     Not only is the lake thankful, so is our forest.  Spring, once it really gets here, we'll experience flowers and trees at their healthiest in years. Lake Arrowhead is having one of its best winters in YEARS! Maybe 10. We're getting one snow storm after another, with plenty of rain in-between.  Our lake level was down approx. 12 feet in December, but is now only 1.3 feet from being full.  That is wonderful news! * Remember 1" of rain equals about 3" of lake rise.  I was previewing a lakefront estate the other day and the water was lapping at the properties breaker wall, where only last summer, one could sit up lawn chairs in the sandy dirt below that same wall.  Not only did our lake need the rain, so did our precious forest. Trees were desperate for liquid. While it's important to know why you are selling - you should generally keep this to yourself or solely between you and your Realtor in confidence.
