  *Who is Stalking my Dogs Every Night?*   For weeks now, something has been in our backyard at night. It doesn’t surprise me as my house is very close to the hills and we tend to get wildlife in the backyard periodically. But every night when I put the dogs out they are constantly being tantalized by something…….not sure what! So last night I went outside and waited in the dark. Yesterday, I made it to 300,000 points on ActiveRain so I posted on AR about how wonderful I think the social network is and to thank everyone. 300,000 Points was a milestone for me.   Today I took the "URL" from the post and made a Wordle from http://www.Wordle.net/. Squirrels at Play in Loma Linda This morning the squirrels were running around searching for food.   I find them very entertaining and this area of Loma Linda, CA has a lot of wildlife and just a beautiful area. They were jumping from limb to limb in the big trees. They blend into the terrain so it is hard to see them.      And then they run off and hide. They are so cute. Eating Peaches Can Be Fun and Worth the Risk Today I found the bird feeders half full after 3 days. It seems the birds are ignoring the bird feeders and in the trees eating the fruit instead.   Since the peaches have ripened, the birds are all over them. I guess I could yell at them but they ignore me anyway and always have their back to me. Out of sight, out of mind! I never spray the trees with pesticides as there are so many peaches; I figure there are enough for us and the birds.   Yesterday, the weather was so nice that I decided to go to our local home improvement store and get some more plants and pots. So I came home and gardened for about 4 hours. I keep feeling like someone was watching me and of course my 3 dogs were outside playing and basking in the sun.   Then I looked up and saw “him” just staring down at me. I am sure he was excited thinking about some new plants to prey upon in my yard.   A few minutes later, I hear the dogs growling and I find they are playing with the grasshopper.   “Get away, he is mine. I found him first.” Later they lost interest and went back to take a nap and I had to get rid of this huge grasshopper. No, they did not eat him but just pushed him around a little.
