  I have of late received quite a few calls asking about Wilshire Corridor Leasing, generally from people looking for the luxury and security that the Wilshire Corridor provides.There are presently 54 condos for lease with a median price of $5,500 per month.  The low is $1,950 for a 1 bed 1 bath, 869 sq. ft. unit at the Wilshire Selby West  and the high is a 3 bed 4.5 bath, 5,283 sq. ft. Mid-Century Modern - Everything Old Is New Again A client of mine is selling his condo that was decorated over 30 years ago. The interior is an interesting mix of mid-century modern and 1980's gaudiness. It's certainly colorful and bold, but it works. The furniture, light-fixtures, wallpaper and window coverings are all in great, as-new condition. Everone who see the condo is impressed with the decor. Several prospects have even requested that my client sell the furniture. What most people are suprised to hear, is that my Seller is 90 years old.

A buyer was about to close escrow on a property which is in close proximity to the 405 freeway and was not aware that the freeway was being widened. This info has been all over the news and yet this is a material fact that the seller and yes, agents, should have stated in writing in the various forms. The buyer cancelled the escrow. Lesson to share -- it is absolutely critical to disclose all material facts even if a seller thinks that the buyer should "already" know.

2010 Price Reductions of Los Angeles Condominiums - MLS Market Trends The Combined Los Angeles/Westside MLS published a summary of Price Reductions for Los Angeles condos. According to the table below, the number of Price Reductions in 2010 is significantly lower than that of 2009. I think there are two reasons for this: 2009 was an important year for both Realtors and Sellers in terms of adjusting to market conditions - Think of it as a loud "wake-up call". Aroma Restaurant in Silver Lake - definitely don't curb appraise this one! Last night I had the good fortune to enjoy dinner at Aroma Restaurant in Silver Lake. I was there with a group to celebrate a friend's birthday or I may never have tried this fabulous spot.  Aroma is set in a strip mall at the corner of Sunset and Silver Lake Blvd.  Talk about a surpise! I was reminded of the old saying ‘don't judge a book by its cover'.  Who would have known such great food and service would be inside a place with such an unassuming exterior.    If you are a fan of Italian, I highly recommend Aroma Restaurant.
