Exploring California: Country Kitchen in Malibu Looking for a fast, tasty and affordable breakfast, lunch or dinner? Along the Pacific Crest Highway (PCH) in California you will come across not too many eateries and those you do some are pretty pricey. Personally, I am a fan or little mom and pop joints. Driving along the highway we stopped off at Country Kitchen, which was amazing! We enjoyed a "California Burger" with sweet potato fries. This burger is perfect to share, that is how large the serving is. Cost? It was about $7 and change for the burger and $3 for the fries. September 12th, 2014: Pepperdine University’s Flags on the Lawn! Diane and I were driving back home on PCH. We went shopping in Camarillo. Every year we try to do something different for her birthdays. This time it was the outlet stores in Camarillo. On our way back we drove by Pepperdine University. There were all these flags on the lawn that you never see anyone… there were thousands of flags mostly US and a few foreign nations’ flags. Clearly it was a tribute to the victims of 9/11/2001. Had we counted I am confident it would have been the exact amount of people who passed away. It was truly a touching moment.
