Manhattan Beach California is located within the South Bay area of Los Angeles county just 4 miles South of LAX airport along the Pacific Coast. Manhattan Beach was established in 1912 and is known as the jewel of the South Bay because of its prime position on the “Queen’s Necklace” where you get stunning views from Palos Verdes to the Santa Monica mountains. It’s a great location for people who commute outside of the South Bay or travel frequently because its location allows for easy access to freeways and the airport.Manhattan Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California and repeatedly voted one of the best places to live in the country. It ranked as the #3 best suburb to live in Los Angeles and raise a family. This is in large part to the great school district. M...

Nestled along the Pacific coast in southwestern Los Angeles County, Manhattan Beach is a small, upscale city with a rich history dating back thousands of years. From its humble beginnings as a Native American village to its current status as a popular beach destination, Manhattan Beach has always been a place of beauty and promise. The area now known as Manhattan Beach was originally inhabited by the Tongva people, a Native American tribe who called the region "Naam," meaning "the people" in their language. The Tongva lived in small villages along the coast and sustained themselves through hunting, fishing, and gathering. In the early 1800s, the land that is now Manhattan Beach became part of a Spanish land grant called Rancho Sausal Redondo. It wasn't until the early 1900s that the are...

Oh how we love the holidays.  One of our favorite aspects is the sense of community and the friendly atmosphere you just don't see (sadly) during most of the year. One of the things that brings the community together is the multitude of events from holiday stroll in Riviera Village to the annual Santa walk.  One of the highlights is the annual Manhattan Beach holiday fireworks display.  It's a spectacular evening both for the fireworks themselves and for the fact that so many people bundle up and head downtown to be part of it.Here's the night's event lineup: 3:00pm - 4:00pm - Sketchers snow park opens to Friendship Foundation 4:00pm - 6:30pm - Sketchers snow park open to the public 4:00pm - 6:30pm - Santa float on Manhattan Ave for photos 3:00pm - 6:30pm - Mira Costa Choir caroling in ...

Not that there's ever a bad time of year in Manhattan Beach but I'm definitely excited for summer.  Long days, no school drop offs, and the energy that summer brings to the beach and downtown areas.

Although it's hard to believe there are currently 9 beachfront homes for sale on the Manhattan Beach Strand. It used to be unheard of to have more than 2 or three hit the market in a given year......that certainly changed in this boom market. What's more amazing is that three of the homes currently for sale on the Strand are priced over $25,000,000.  That may not sound amazing (it's Manhattan Beach real estate after all) but considering that there have only ever been two residential on market sales over $20,000,000, it is astounding.Click on any home below for more detailed information 1800 The Strand Manhattan Beach - Listed at $27,000,000 308 The Strand Manhattan Beach - Listed at $36,000,000 3216 The Strand Manhattan Beach - Listed for $30,000,000 See all of the beachfront homes for s...

We have a tradition, one of our neighbors likes to take Diane & I out on New Years Day or so every year. This is her way of appreciating our friendship and my cooking. Needless to say this year was a bit different due  to Pandemic shutdowns and Covid fears.Next thing you know life takes over and we all lead busy lives.... she insisted on going out so with that said today was the day all three of us could make it work. I had a craving for weeks now of drinking a Bloody Mary and eating a Burger. I do not cook anything with beef or pork so when we go out Diane does not need to even look on what I will have. She knows depending if we buy or someone else buyer it is a Burger or a Steak.... This was the second time we had lunch at the Tin Roof Bistro in the past five years and it was not disa...

I have been going to Red Carpet Car Wash since we moved to Westchester CA. They are in Manhattan Beach and needless to say six years you develop relationships. I always appreciated the quality of service they provided and at the same time I always loved the Patriotic Themes of their pictures. Sadly I always had to stop at their 9/11 tribute.  So today as I washed my car from all the Ashes and Airplane Dust, I had to stop and take a picture. In front of their tribute they had some flowers. Love their caring tribute especially in my part of the world it is a rare event! Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, focused and goal-oriented Realtor in the Beverly Hills area who will help you achieve your Real Estate goals, ...
