Not that there's ever a bad time of year in Manhattan Beach but I'm definitely excited for summer.  Long days, no school drop offs, and the energy that summer brings to the beach and downtown areas.

Although it's hard to believe there are currently 9 beachfront homes for sale on the Manhattan Beach Strand. It used to be unheard of to have more than 2 or three hit the market in a given year......that certainly changed in this boom market. What's more amazing is that three of the homes currently for sale on the Strand are priced over $25,000,000.  That may not sound amazing (it's Manhattan Beach real estate after all) but considering that there have only ever been two residential on market sales over $20,000,000, it is astounding.Click on any home below for more detailed information 1800 The Strand Manhattan Beach - Listed at $27,000,000 308 The Strand Manhattan Beach - Listed at $36,000,000 3216 The Strand Manhattan Beach - Listed for $30,000,000 See all of the beachfront homes for s...

We have a tradition, one of our neighbors likes to take Diane & I out on New Years Day or so every year. This is her way of appreciating our friendship and my cooking. Needless to say this year was a bit different due  to Pandemic shutdowns and Covid fears.Next thing you know life takes over and we all lead busy lives.... she insisted on going out so with that said today was the day all three of us could make it work. I had a craving for weeks now of drinking a Bloody Mary and eating a Burger. I do not cook anything with beef or pork so when we go out Diane does not need to even look on what I will have. She knows depending if we buy or someone else buyer it is a Burger or a Steak.... This was the second time we had lunch at the Tin Roof Bistro in the past five years and it was not disa...

I have been going to Red Carpet Car Wash since we moved to Westchester CA. They are in Manhattan Beach and needless to say six years you develop relationships. I always appreciated the quality of service they provided and at the same time I always loved the Patriotic Themes of their pictures. Sadly I always had to stop at their 9/11 tribute.  So today as I washed my car from all the Ashes and Airplane Dust, I had to stop and take a picture. In front of their tribute they had some flowers. Love their caring tribute especially in my part of the world it is a rare event! Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, focused and goal-oriented Realtor in the Beverly Hills area who will help you achieve your Real Estate goals, ...

The urban area of Los Angeles (LA) is the second largest in the United States. It is composed of different cosmopolitan districts, a few kilometers near the opulent wealth rubs shoulders with misery, which extend for several tens of kilometers from east to west and from north to south, there is no "city center "strictly speaking, at least not in the European sense of the term.Bordered by the Pacific and the San Gabriel Mountains to the north, Los Angeles enjoys a Mediterranean climate.City of cinema, of Hollywood! There are also beautiful huge beaches, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Malibu ... but beware the water in the Pacific is cold! It's more North Sea atmosphere than Mediterranean (beware of misconceptions!). Housing Spoiled for choice ! The big question being, in which ne...

Throwback Thursday: The Local Yolk in Manhattan Beach CA  I first enjoyed the Local Yolk in Manhattan Beach waaay back in 1999 and it's been one of our favorite breakfast places since. There are a number of other popular breakfast eateries in the same area, but this is my fav. My daughter had started at USC in 1998 and found out about the place from her friends, so on visits from Boston to CA to see her this was the eatery of choice for breakfast. Manhattan Beach is such a charming beach town to explore...but it gets crowded...and we have spent a bit of time there with our daughter, and then with her husband, and now with the grandkids. We were there this past weekend for breakfast and I realized that so little has changed over the years. There is a huge menu - they are known for their ...

Wordless Wednesday: Everyone Needs a Buddy Sometime  We were in Manhattan Beach on Sunday having breakfast with our daughter and her family. As we have often done in this charming beach town, we took a quick walk after our meal. I spied this cat and his/her buddy up on the 3rd floor deck of a beautiful contemporary home taking in the gorgeous ocean views down the hill, and could not resist snapping a photo. Wish the angle would have allowed me to also capture the view. The guy went back inside...perhaps to fill up the coffee mug...and the cat followed, no doubt hoping for a snack! Of course my real estate eye had me wondering what this oceanview property cost?!

Well when things happen that are out of your control how  do you handle it? Last weekend Diane and I were heading to Manhattan Beach to do some errands. I washed my car the day before and was ready to have a relaxing Sunday Afternoon.  So as I was driving on Sepulveda Blvd now this stretch has been  re named Pacific Coast Highway all of a sudden we run int a traffic jam with police, fire department and the list goes on and on....:My reaction was Diane quick take some pictures.... well with that said check them out and let me know how you liked them?Clearly someone decided to go very fast and lost control of their vehicle and knocked out one of the Fire Hydrants. In case you are wondering what my reaction was? I thought oh well too bad about my car wash and hopefully no one was injured......
