SELLERS ASK FOR 30 PERCENT MORE FOR HOMES IN TOP PUBLIC-SCHOOL DISTRICTS Private schools can be pricey, but so can homes in top-rated school districts, a recent study found. In an Aug. 13 blog post Trulia Chief Economist Jed Kolko found that asking prices for homes in a school district with a GreatSchools rating of nine or 10 were 32 percent above average. On the other hands, asking prices were 41 percent below average in areas with GreatSchools ratings of one or two. Kolko points out that although buyers who don’t pay private-school tuition can afford a much pricier house, in the long run, education isn’t cheap. “The hard truth is that both can cost an arm and a leg,” he wrote. Balance is a verb.  It is not a state that is achieved once and for all.  It is something that you are always seeking to maintain.  Three times a week we shut down our computers and head out to our Yoga class.  We love the proximityy of Montecito Yoga (aka MOYO which means SOUL in Sanskrit).  It is just 3 exits aways from our home on the 101 freeway.  For an hour and a half we decompress and flex, stretch and build strength.  This clears our heads and maintains our spirit of equanimity,  Our goals are all in the sign that hangs on the wall in the equipment room, my favorite is "Laugh as much as you breathe".  That is one of the secrets of balance.
