Newbury Park – how exciting it would be to live in a community that is full of history.  Well,  Newbury Park is just that place.  Newbury Park, along the 101 Freeway, sits peacefully amongst the majesty of the Santa Monica Mountains.  The embracement of the mountains surrounding Newbury Park gives it the feeling and appearance of tranquility, much like is was 7000 years ago when the Chumash Indiansinhabited the area.  Newbury Park still has to this day the many ways of life as they did then; however, for them it was survival – for us it is pleasure.   Fishing is just one of those ways.  There are several lakes and ponds around Newbury Park that offers the tranquil environment of quiet fishing: Trout Dale in Agoura, and good bass fishing at Lake Sherwood in Ventura County.  There are ma...
