Affordable Housing Coming to Oceanside, California. The Oceanside City council unanimously approved a development agreement --taking a step toward building what will be the largest affordable housing project not only in Oceanside but in San Diego County. The council approved the agreement with a two developer team that allows the $81 million Mission cove Affordable Housing Project to proceed on 14.5 acres on Mission Avenue near the Oceanside Municipal Airport. San Diego no Longer in Housing Bubble, Oceanside, CA News flash, the bubble has completely deflated. It appears that San Diego is no longer in a housing bubble and cities in the county of San Diego, such as Oceanside, are also fairing well. Right now Oceanside homes that are priced to sell are receiving multiple offers and far fewer days on the market than just a few months ago. I think most of us strive for excellence in what we do...and not just in our real estate business. We like to make a good impression, after all. It's critical in our business, as it is in any business. And it can tell others a great deal about us very quickly - good AND bad. The sentiment in this signage is pretty powerful, and worth remembering. Unfortunately, the irony is that excellence has apparently not quite become a habit at this company. It reminded me of recent signage at the new Walmart in Encinitas. The painting contractor painted YEILD not once but twice on the road out front of the new store for all to see and it made the headlines. They corrected it quickly - I went to check. We all make mistakes from time to time. It's just better to not have it publicized.
