My husband is in the kitchen cooking.  Actually, that's not news worthy.  He cooks all the time.  What would be more news worthy is if it were me in there doing it.  Before we got married I made it very, very clear that if he expected a wife that would cook every day I would be a great disappointment... I'm not the one.  I suggested we remain friends.  I didn't try to wow him with great dishes before we got married.  I didn't try to convince him that I would try to cook after we got married.  I just told him the truth.  "As much as I love you, It's just not going to happen," is what I said. He still wanted to marry me.  Ladies, don't be jealous, you can get one too. Cooking was one of the first jobs I retired from.  It was an early retirement, that's a given. I was thirty four when...

I just want to reiterate that these cliffs are serious.  I hope you like to climb stairs.  This is the easiest way up I am sure.  I mean, I'm no Chumash, but jeez, under no circumstances would I try to climb up to the top of this chunk of rock in the middle of the water.  If it weren't for the stairs I would be happy to remain blissfully ignorant of what might be atop the cliffs.  I am afraid of heights.  I get enough cardiovascular exercise from the panic attack I have at the thought of having to scale this.  No thanks.
