  Hollywood Riviera's Local Library, El Retiro Library, is currently closed for refurbishing.  Since April 2009 the library has closed its doors - but only temporarily.  Grand Re-Opening will be Mid-July 2009.  New seismic-shelving, lighting, carpet, paint, wiring, wireless internet and more will await the Torrance Library patrons!  Can't wait!

Clutter busting and wholesale mortgage So much I didn't know. I didn't know that this is one of the top things on people list with excercise, time with family and paying off debt! What if you could see a link to debt and clutter? Remember the joke of how do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time. That is a big part of dealing with the job. Focus on one room, or area at a time and a short interval or specific one ok, from 1-4 I am devoting to this job. ( I had one room of stuff for 3 years-just things from 3 careers that I couln't get to) I cleaned it up on one day. 3 trash cans full later I feel great. Book night at Barnes and Noble had a great event with the principal reading several stori es to the families, students and customers.The books sold received a portion of funds for the library. The event followed a book signing by an author. The principal read a favorite book from her childhood days. I had never heard it before but it was masterful as it was pure fun. Kerplunk, Kerplunk the story had the blueberries fall into the pail. A mix up on a mountain of the mother and mother bear an d their babies. Only a few months ago this principal had a baby girl of her own.

Even if it means being bitten by a ‘Possum....opossum...Officers today took the animal to release into the wilder parts of our county. The neighbor said he was eating the raccoons food... food is food...How will a skunk, cat raccoon or opossum know the difference in whose food is available. It reminds me of Indians and land...it never occurred to them that someone would divide it up and sell it.What do you readers think?
