Preparing for the tryouts for Beauty and the Beast play at Ripon Christian started about a month ago (December 2010).  Noah decided that he wanted to be in the 4th/5th grade musical.  At first he wanted to be the Beast & just about every kid wanted to be Chip (that cute little teacup). Yesterday, 1/7/2011, we found out that Noah will be Gaston.  He plays a handsome brute (who is just full of himself).  There are a few solo singing parts in the play.  He is pretty excited about it (ok, so am I too).  Last night, we watched Beauty & the Beast on DVD.  Thankfully I was able to find our DVD.  We have already watched it again this morning & started practicing.  I even got to read "Lefou" (Gaston's sidekick).  I will be volunteering to help with helping make the sets.  This will be so fun pre... 01/08/2011

Ripon Police Department does something pretty awesome. If you know you are going on vacation (leaving Ripon) & want someone to check in on your home (in Ripon), there you go.  Volunteers (civilians) will be doing it.   Here are some of the rules:   1)  vacation checks are only for 2 wks. 2)  you have to check in with Ripon PD when you come home. 3)  you are not allowed "in & out" priviledges during vacation. 4)  Fill out the Vacation Check form completely, all spaces on form must be filled out...(N/A if not applicable) 5)  there is no guarantee that they will be checking on your home daily (since they are volunteers). 11/19/2010

City of Ripon DO's Place loose yard clippings leaves, twigs and cut branches Christmas Trees in the street just outside the gutter (where you would normally park your car) City of Ripon DON'TS gutter needs to be clear for water runoff (for when you wash your car) No other solid waste of any kind shall be put with the prunings or leaves. I have seen a lot of negative on Activerain about Bank of America short sales.  I have had the opposite experience with them.    The first one is a short sale in Livingston CA.  I received multiple offers on this one.  I submitted a very good cash offer to BofA through the equator system.   It did take a little while for them to respond.  They ordered their BPO and about a week later we got a counter offer.   They wanted $10,000 more than the buyer had offered and wanted the seller to make a cash contribution of $10,000 and sign a promissory note for $20,000.   This was not acceptable to either the buyer or the seller so I countered back to the original offer and received an ok on it today.   I guess the bank had to at least try.       The second one is in Ripon Ca.  This one was not th... 09/13/2010

It's a funny story... Round-about Ripon is one of our families nicknames to this town.  The bubble is one too.  But the round-about that is most talked about is the one on Wilma.  It's been a fun transformation.  At first we thought it would be a water fountain in the middle? see how below it's a pumping truck... Now we know for sure it's a clock tower, no not Big Ben, but still so cool.  I wonder when the clock will be accurate?  Will we be able to see it from the freeway?  Will people visit from far away just to come see Ripon's clock tower?
