Throwback Thursdays- A Surprise Photo of my Parents Just Married in 1939My cousin (my dad's side) had a birthday recently and I sent him a card. The next thing I know he had sent me this photo of my mom and dad. He is on one of those anchestor websites and said someone had sent it to him. The second I saw the screen shot name, I knew it was my 2nd cousin Will on my mother's side. I have so many photos of my parents when they were first married, then during my dad's first 3 years in the military. Then later after my dad re-enlisted in the Army Air Corp to be a pilot and then navigator, she keep photo albums of everywhere they went but I never saw this photo.I am not sure when or where  it was taken but I am guessing around 1939 in Knoxville, Tennessee maybe as my dad was wearing civilian... 11/19/2015

Throwback Thursdays- A Memorable Baptism PhotoToday I was feeling very sad for many families here in the United States and in Paris so I thought I would share one of my photos of happy times ago. This special photo is framed and sits in my hallway and reminds me of good times many years ago and of such an important event in our lives. It was taken at my daughter's baptism at the March Air Force Base Chapel in Riverside, CA. It was such a fun morning and we had a lovely reception afterwards.
