We Need To Break Through The Concrete Slab To Make The Plumbing Repair It was determined that the kitchen drain line was clogged in the two inch drain pipe. When the sink or dishwasher was used the water would not flow through the drain. Attempts to clear the blockage were futile using a plumber’s snake. A camera was used to find the blockage which gave us an approximate location – under the concrete slab, just in front of the sink base cabinet. The drain camera showed signs of a tree root inside the pipe, the plan was to open a 24” x 24” hole and repair the ABS pipe and refill the hole. Opening the 6” concrete slab determined that the tree root had crushed the ABS pipe so we need to continue the demolition following the drain to the point where the existing drain pipe could be us...
