Historically the Marina district of downtown San Diego has been the most sought after for condo living. San Diego's Columbia District has become the most expensive neighborhood in downtown with an average selling price for a condo of $1,549,378. The average price per square foot for a columbia district condo in San Diego was $994 in 2022. Condo buildings in this neighborhood fall in the luxury category and include Bayside, The Grande Tower, Sapphire Tower, Electra, Savina and Pacific Gate.Treo is also a condo tower in this district but one that does not fall in the luxury category.With $1.5 billion in redevelopment projects underway, this neighborhood keeps reshaping itself as a premier community in San Diego to call home.

Little Italy condos in San Diego were some of the most sought after in the downtown area in 2022. With an average selling price of $865,043 condos in Little Italy San Diego are now some of the priciest in downtown San Diego. With an average price per square foot of $827 for a condo in Little Italy only the Columbia District is more expensive than Little Italy. Buildings in Little Italy include Acqua Vista, La Vita, Doma, Palermo, Bella Via, Hawthorn Place, Portico, Porto Sienna, Village Walk, 350 Ash, Aperture and San Diego's newest condo building Savina.
