Marina District (San Diego, CA)

Our overall for sale inventory is extremely low in San Diego County.  This is especially true for downtown San Diego.  The 92101 zip code was hit early by the change in the market.  Downtown has been in a recovery stage for approximately a year.  Horizons is a highly desireable building in downtown San Diego.  It is in the luxury Marina District.  The inventory for sale in the complex is limited and in demand.  Horizons was the first building built by BOSA in San Diego.  It has uncompromised views of the city, the Bay and the Ocean.  The location is ultra convenient and has earned the complex a high walkability score.  The trolley and bus stop nearby.  Residents don't need to rely upon cars from this location. Across the street from Horizons is the New Children's Musuem.  Several other ...

Theft and crime is a reality wherever you live.  It is always critical to stay alert and on guard for any suspicious behavior. On Friday, November 16, 2012 a car theft occurred in San Diego.  This is not unusual news.  Unfortunately.  The personal aspect of this for me is that the thieves also stole my parking spaces for several hours.  When you live in downtown San Diego parking is scared.  You just do not screw around with someone's parking. One space is worth approximately $30,000 per year in some of the luxury buildings.  People in the suburbs have their landscaped yards, proximity to highways and big garages to show off.  Downtown people brag about our personal strips of concrete where our cars rest comfortably.  Downtown residents trust me to find them parking and then find them a...

City Walk is one of my favorite mid-rises in the Marina District of downtown San Diego.  The complex takes up an entire block.  It is between Market, State, G and Union Streets. There are only four floors which makes it a cozy building.  Three courtyards break up the building and allow lots of natural light to filter in. There are 109 units.  The floor plans vary from 14 main plans.  The building has townhouses that face into courtyards and out to the street.  The townhouses have a brownstone vibe. The building is in the midst of a major face lift.  Some of the windows were leaking on the Market Street side.  Those are being repaired. The courtyards are each being remodeled.  The plants are new.  The planters are being rebuilt.  Two courtyards have had large custom gazebos built on sit...

The Marina District is a unique component of downtown San Diego.  Almost anything you could want or imagine is within a quick stroll.  The Marina District is primarily man made.  The original waterfront was on Front Street.  The neighborhood hosts the majority of the luxury high rise condos in downtown San Diego. One of my favorite buildings is Horizons. The inventory for sale there is limited.  The inventory for rent is even lower.  My team represents the majority of Landlords in the complex.  We also place tenants. We have leased out every condo on the 19th floor of 510 First Avenue.  The building is in demand because of the location, views and amenities.  The views are addictive.  Looking out onto the city or the Bay and Ocean from this complex is a peaceful way to start and end y...
