A recent MansionGlobal article states 35% of Redfin agents reported a multiple bid situation when representing buyers in May 2019, up 5% from January 2019.Silicon Valley's 2018 real estate market soared much earlier and much higher than usual in 2018, then saw a softening as the year ended. Although spring and summer are traditionally the top turnover times for selling homes, some buyers are reportedly surprised to face multiple offers.For the San Jose Lynbrook High townhome at 1013 Tulipan Drive, Michelle Carr Crowe and the Get Results Team did see multiple offers. Recently Redfin's CEO was quoted on his definition of motivated seller-and one of his main answers was the house is vacant. Redfin agents primarily represent buyers and that answer makes sense when viewed as one potential sign that someone may be committed to moving on when a home is neither being lived in nor rented.
