Below is my latest torrance real estate market report .  The average Torrance home sales price was $487,376, which is significantly lower than a year ago.  Average price dropped by 15.7 percent.  This reverses the upward average price trend in Torrance that we reported this year.  It will be interesting to see next month's stats and to see if the improvment in Torrance real estate continues despite the lower averages in May. As of today, May 30, 2011, there are 17 homes listed for sale in the Walteria part of South Torrance. The average price is $690,523; lowest listed home is priced at $459,000 and highest at $950,000. Most of those homes are single family homes, which is consistent with the type of the community Walteria is - mostly single family homes with limited number of townhomes or condos.  Currently there are no condos listed for sale but you have a choice of two townhomes. The Truth about Torrance homes for sale. What are the three rules of real estate... LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! Torrance homes for sale are one of the mosted sought out homes in the South Bay, because of the schools. Therefore resale return is greater.   A few things to note when buying Torrance homes. Schools, elementry, middle and High. There are four High schools South High, West High, North High and Torrance High. If your looking for your child to go to South High or West High those neighorhoods tend to be a bit higher. The item to take under consideration is how close you are to shopping. If you are a Costco Shopper the only Costco in Torrance is location on the South Side of Torrance.
