 They Want Me to Buy The House "As Is", Now What?   Bank owned properties, investment properties, most flips, and sometimes regular sellers want you to buy a home "as is".  Well for starters there is no such thing as "as is" in California. You have a right to do a home inspection and back out if you don't like the results. Banks put "as is" because they don't want to deal with any repairs. It doesn't necessary mean the home has major things wrong with it or that it's not a good deal depending on the comps in the area and the price you pay for it.   My loan officer talked a big game!  But they couldn’t  pass the Mortgage exam!     Lawyers pass the BAR exams in order to practice law.       Accountants, CPA’s and tax attorney’s all pass different tests in order to obtain their designations.   Dentists, Doctors and Surgeons pass a multitude of exams in order to practice medicine.         And NOW loan officers must pass extensive exams in order to originate loans!       IS YOUR LOAN OFFICER LICENSED OR JUST REGISTERED?    What is the Difference?   There’s a lot of alphabet soup out there when it comes to registration and licensing.  DRE, DOC, NMLS etc.  What does it all mean? Snow In Valencia, Ca. It's snowing today in Valencia Ca.I know people in other areas of the world would think so what, but this is big news here. I have lived in Valencia since 1997 and have never seen it snow here before. There are reports that it snowed in 1994 and 1989 but I will be honest with you, those came from my people on Facebook. To think I traveled last weekend to Big Bear to have a White Christmas and now it's snowing in town. Snow is so unique for Valencia! I knew this was going to be great year!YEEHAA 2011!

OK. So I got MAJOR heat stroke today! I had a USTA Tennis Match today and I wasn't feeling well to begin with. I called our captain at the last minute to see if a sub was available, but no one was. So I had to suck it up and get out there I ended up getting heat stroke and had to take a break at one point. I've been resting and drank what seems to be the equivalent of the Pacific Ocean.
