I always feel like I need to start out with an apology when it's been a while since I have last posted a blog entry. It seems like once you pass Halloween, holiday season madness is in full swing. For me, November and December are always extremely hectic. There are so many loose ends to tie up both professionally and personally that it can leave very little free time for anything else. Typically, once we hit December 15th, things tend to get quiet usually until the second week of January. As agents, most of us are so passionate and addicted to what we do that it is very rare for us to take much down time. This makes the holiday season the perfect opportunity to take an actual vacation. Because I am such a workaholic, I find that even after a few days of not working, I am back on my lapt...

  Here is a little piece of history of the Dodge House a unique building that once existed, in West Hollywood, California. The Dodge House was a magnificent house that was built in the “Early Modern” style. This unique home was built in 1914 and designed by Irving Gill. The Dodge House was owned by Walter Luther Dodge, the maker of a patent medicine called “Tiz”, a treatment for tired tootsies. This amazing house had 16 rooms and incorporated many technological innovations. It was even featured in “House Beautiful.” Unfortunately, the Dodge House was demolished in 1970. Since May 2008 I've been blogging about the Hancock Lofts at 901 Hancock Avenue in West Hollywood. This condo development came onto the market at grossly inflated prices, and a year later (in May 2009) the List Prices were still way above the going market rate per square foot. The marketing of these condos was also strange. The units weren't listed on The MLS and although I repeatedly left messages for the on-site sales representative trying to obtain information for a prospective buyer, I never had the courtesy of a return call. I did receive a single random email saying the prices were being reduced. I responded, stating that I believed the prices were still at least 25% above market .... but I never heard back from the sale representative. Now, in November 2010, the owners (CIM Group...

In March of this year I blogged about West Hollywood's new website, and how impressed I was that "The Creative City" finally had a website to match its name. Apparently I wasn't the only to take note and be impressed by the city's new website. "The City of West Hollywood was recently honored with the Web Marketing Association’s WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development as the Best Government Website." Now in its 14th year, the WebAwards are recognized internationally as one of the premier industry-based website awards. “The City is thrilled to be recognized for its creative efforts at expanding communication to the public,” said Mayor John Heilman. The City of West Hollywood’s website, launched in March of 2010, was designed by Vision Internet.

Pay It Forward - AidsWalk Los Angeles raises $2.8 Million and counting.... AidsWalk Los Angeles is being held today! It is such an outstanding fundraising event that focuses on raises much needed funds and awareness for an awful disease that touches EVERYONE's life is some, way, shape, or form. The Walk begins at 10AM and ends at the same location -  West Hollywood Park - 647 N. San Vicente Blvd. in West Hollywood. One of my friends ordered this outrageously decadent burger, filled with two beef patties wedged between three grilled cheese sandwiches. The Palm Restaurant in West Hollywood is a great place for dinner. I recently enjoyed an excellent meal at the Palm Restaurant located at 9001 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069. The food was magnificent. I started with a deliciously refreshing cocktail - The Black Widow: Muddled fresh mint, raspberries and hand squeezed lime juice, Belvedere Black Raspberry Vodka, topped with Chandon Brut Classic, served up. I then ordered the Hearts of Palm Salad: romaine, hearts of palm, tomatoes, kalamata olives and egg, topped with a vinaigrette dressing.
