This reminded me to ask the question: what is an appropriate time to say coming soon?When you get a listing and put your Yard Sign up with a Rider: COMING SOON! What is the time you actually dedicate for this? Also how soon after it will you hold an Open House? How soon after it do you put the Listing in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS)?Personally in the Greater Los Angeles area I have seen two days to a week which seemed like a normal time to present it to the Real Estate Community as well as to all potential serious buyers.Ironically in my neighborhood, I noticed a Sign going up “coming soon” four weeks later, still no Open House, still not in the MLS…. Enjoying a Summer Sunday in Westchester, CA 90045Today, was one of those days that I did a little work in the morning and then spent the rest of the day just puttering around. Seldom do we have this luxury to relax as Realtors. Happy Independence Day America, aka. Happy 240th Birthday of the United States of America. I have always loved the Celebration and the joy of being part of Independence Day. I have been lucky to having lived in Boston, MA where one of the best Fireworks and Best Celebrations take place year after year. Well to be exact this will be the 43rd year that the Hatch Shell and Boston, MA will be celebrating America's Birthday.Needless to say having also lived in Marina Del Rey, CA  for eight years not as grandiose as the Boston,MA celebration, but just as enjoyable watching the Boat Parade and the Fireworks on a smaller scale.Needless to say that is the smallest I like to see  the Fireworks. When did Toilets become so expensive?Needless to say this is not a rhetorical question, I mean it: when did Toilets become so expensive?I do not mean the Toilet that King Abdullah gifted to his daughter’s wedding. Nor do I mean the Hang Fung Toilet made out Gold that is on display at the Hang Fung Gold Technology Group’s Headquarters. Just as I do not mean the International Space Station Toilet.Simply the ordinary average person’s everyday toilet is what I am referencing. This brings me to my story. The other day Diane noticed that the second bathroom has moisture near the Toilet. Needless to say this in turn was an annoying discovery since this bathroom was going to get remodeled within the next six months or so. Vines in the backyard: depends how you look at them Pesky or a Great addition…Well when we bought our house we noticed there was this pesky vine that has gotten out of control and was attacking one of our Citrus Tree. We have been city dwellers all our lives and lived most of our lives on the East Coast Boston MA that is. Now with that said we had no idea what the Citrus Tree was…. We were confident it was a Lime Tree well a year later we discovered that the Lime Tree turned out to be a Naval Orange Tree. Pleasant surprise if I might say so myself and all our friends who enjoyed the fruit this year.Diane wanted to kill it off and was giving instructions to the gardeners to get rid of this pesky vine which was attacking the tree. Needless to say Jack our most laid back kitty did not like how she placed the area rug. The Westchester,CA 90045 Real Estate Market Report is very interesting: Check it out! I live in Westchester so I have been watching the Market Activity very closely since every time I walk my dog, neighbors stop us and want to  know how the Real Estate Market is. Needless to say the prices have increased but in all fairness it was a bit of a roller coaster ride how we arrived at the current figures. Well go check it out tell me if you agree: Needless say those who are not familiar we are very close to LAX that is Los Angeles International Airport at one end of Westchester and at the other end we are next to Marina Del Rey, CA. Throwback Thursday: Mushrooms and Family...When I was growing up as a young child I clearly remember going in the mountains and the forrest with my parents. Easy to remember it was virtually every weekend. Needless to say my parents told me that my first two steps I took as a child was in the woods. In case I had any doubts there were tons of pictures, mostly black and white capturing the moment in the great outdoors. Pictures of my mother cooking with campfire style and having the tent near it. There were many pictures of us picking wild fruit such as Blueberries, strawberries and the list goes on and on. Did you know that this year is the earliest arrival of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere? Most people will not even realize that this is the first time in their lifetime. Well it is the first time in my life time and I am old as dirt. What is the Vernal Equinox? Well if you do not want the scientific explanation but are satisfied with the laymen’s version: basically all over the globe the days and nights are virtually equal. What time is it? It is Spring Time...well not quite but it is time to set the Clocks forward. Spring Forward an hour. What does it mean, well when you wake up it will still be dark... also it will take some time for your body to adjust to the unnecessary trauma it is put through. Times like this I wish we were like Arizona.... no drama no time change and life goes on and everyone is happy. The biggest complainers outside of me will be our cats and dogs that are accustomed to eating at a certain time and their body clock does not get set forward or backwards.While you at changing the clocks might as well check the Smoke Detectors too and see if the batteries are still good. How is the Westchester, CA 90045 Single Family Market. Before I answer that question, let me tell you it is nice to be asked this question. Every where I go, neighbor's, friends, accountant's every one is asking the question "how is the real estate market"? I walk my dog and I get stopped and asked the same question. First I am thrilled that this has become part of the everyday discussion again. Better than what we had a few years ago.
