I attended an estate sale in Palm Park on Sunday, at 11067 Lorene Street.  I was there as the Realtor®, greeting any people who seemed interested in purchasing the home.  Since the focus of the estate sale was to move the items inside the house, and not the house itself, the Realtor® station was in the back yard, out of the limelight. Lorene Street is a very quiet street, with well-kept homes throughout the neighborhood.  It is, indeed, one of the hidden gems of Whittier. Well, it wasn't just the law; it was also Whittier City Council and the giant corporation Sprint.  One day, my real estate partner and I were handing out my newsletter in the neighborhood near Palm Park in Whittier.  The best part of walking the neighborhood is getting to meet people and talk with them.  We met a great family who told us about a concern that the whole neighborhood had: that there were plans to install a cell phone tower in the middle of Palm Park, a very popular park that is filled with families and children every weekend.  The neighborhood had many concerns about the installation of a cell phone tower in the park, including visual, the fact that it would take up park space with a small building, the tower itself and a fence around both, and that such an encumbrance wou...
