Next week in Aurora and Centennial there will be an important living history experience open to the public. Called, An Afternoon with Abraham Lincoln, next FridayFebruary 7 from 1-2pm at the South Suburban Family Sports Center will be a free look into the mind of Abraham Lincoln.  Lincoln will talk through the 15 presidents that preceded him and go over each of their importance and significance, recontextualized to fit both a modern perspective and one comprised entirely of the time.  His own connections will be seen throughout, as the fingerprints he left on each of their lives was something that needed to be explored entirely as we continued.  It is always interesting to look at historical events against the backdrop of modernity.  Lincoln himself will also share highlights from his P... 01/30/2020

 I have a buyer currently that has a pitbull, and has had the DNA tested, and is one of the breeds that many cities around the metro area have banned.   Too bad too, as her dog is a sickly one, and would not hurt a fly.   I have heard that Aurora is looking to maybe look at them on a case by case basis, after interacting with the dog.  BUT, so far, they are still banned.  City of Denver has this same ban. Aurora City Council passed an ordinance back in 2005 prohibiting the following breeds of dogs and/or any dog exhibiting the majority of distinguishing characteristics that substantially conform to the standards for any of these breeds as set by the American Kennel Club (AKC): American Pit Bull Terrier American Staffordshire Terrier Staffordshire Bull Terrier  My client was contemplatin... 01/28/2020
