Tagawa Gardens, Centennial, Colorado Tagawa has been my favorite nursery since I stumbled on to it in 1996.  They always have such a great selection of plants, trees and specialty gifts.  I love going there and browsing anytime of year. In Colorado, the planting season starts right after Mother’s Day.  Tagawa has so many great plants to choose from to make your garden the best on the block. Don't you wish that you had one really good idea that made it big?  We watched the movie FREQUENCY last night with Dennis Quaid, and I kept thinking about his son, with whom he was communicating in the future, telling Dad to "go and write down the word 'YAHOO'."  The movie was set in 1969 and 1999, so there were a lot of other words that we thought of that we would have told someone to write down (Plastics, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Gold, Starbucks [seriously, a $5 cup of coffee?] :) ). Low maintenance golf course living: One of my favorites has to be Heritage Eagle Bend, located in the very southeast corridor of C-470. The Knolls- Centennial CO June report The Knolls in Centennial, CO is on pace for a very strong year, A typical year for home sales in The Knolls is 14-15, halfway through 2011 we have already seen 13 homes close. Everyone seems to think the real estate market is dead, well the good neighborhoods are stronger than ever, and The Knolls is one of the best neighborhoods in the south metro Denver market. Yesterday I got my local Centennial Citizennewspaper and as always I read through it fairly quickly to see if I recognize any faces and names. Book Review- People are Idiots and I can Prove It- The 10 Ways You are Sabotaging Yourself and How You Can Overcome Them by Larry Winget - I am not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing that along time friend handed me this book, my first thought was "hey thanks" and that was immediately followed by a thought "are you trying to tell me something?" After reading the first few pages I realized he meant no harm. The book is one of those that requires interaction, almost every other page Larry offers up some sort of an assignment to dig deeper into why we sabotage ourselves, financially, spiritually, mentally, relationally and physically, and he is not one to mince words. My Smart phone is not as smart as it thinks it is. Last night all I had was my smart phone with me, I was reading some of the blog posts on AR to pass the time and found a great one, I hit the suggest button and proceeded to the comment section, my smart phone would not let me type, Stupid Phone! What good is all this technology if you cant use it for what it was intended" Does anyone else have a Mytouch 4G, and if so do you have problems answering the thing, what a great device, does (almost) everything but answer phone calls, Stupid Phone! The Knolls- Centennial, CO May 2011 Home sales report - The Knolls saw quite a bit of activity in the month of May, at leastquite a bit more than is typical, 2 homes sold at $333K and $397500, but 4 more homes went under contract with prices ranging from $339-460K. Bringing the total number of homes sold in this wonderful neighborhood to 9 ranging in price from $260-413K and with four more under contract and five more Active listings The Knolls could easily have one of its most active real estate years in recent memory. Book Review - The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John Mann - I have heard a lot about The Go-Giverand have read "Go-Givers Sell More" so I began my search to find The Go-Giver, it was a much more difficult book to find than the follow-up, and since I was heading out of town for a weeks vacation I knew I wanted some very good reading material, I was fortunate to find at my library both The Go-Giver as well as Surviving Your Serengeti by Stefan Swanepoel sitting side by side on the shelf, two books I had been wanting to read since I heard about them.
