Dedisse Park, spanning 420 acres, is one of Evergreen, Colorado’s centrally located parks. It is just off of Colorado State Highway 74. Originally a historic mountain ranch where Julius and Mary Ann Dedisse resided in the 1860s, the city of Denver acquired the property from Dedisse heirs in 1919. Now, Dedisse Park is home to the first mountain golf course in Colorado, the Evergreen Golf Course, built in 1921. The golf course is now home to the scenic Keys on the Green clubhouse restaurant where diners can come to take in the sights. A few years later in 1926, Denver began construction of the dam at Evergreen Lake, also known as “The Perfect Mirror” and crowning jewel of Evergreen.
